Adrian Llewelyn-Evans Mediator

Since retiring from Burges Salmon in April 2009, Adrian has continued his mediation practice. He is now a full time independent mediator. Over the last 10 years he has undertaken a broad range of mediations with a high settlement rate. Accredited in 1997 he has particular experience of multi-party disputes and is recommended by Legal 500 and Chambers.

A former Head of Commercial Litigation at Burges Salmon, Adrian has advised in a wide range of complex commercial disputes often with a foreign element. Actions have been conducted and coordinated in England and in foreign jurisdictions including Australia, Canada, U.S.A. and mainland European countries including the Netherlands, Germany and Italy. He has extensive experience of settlement negotiations.

Adrian's mediation style is friendly and relaxed, but rigorous in ensuring that each party makes a realistic assessment of risk as part of looking for a commercial and pragmatic solution.

Adrian is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Member of the Technology and Construction Solicitors Association, Member of the International Bar Association, and the Mediation Panels of ADR Group, CEDR Solve, Consensus Mediation, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is a member of the Court of Appeal Mediation Panel.
